Genesee County Man Wins $150,000 Powerball Prize from the Michigan Lottery

LANSING, Mich., Sept. 11, 2025 – What a Genesee County man thought was a $50,000 prize turned out to be a $150,000 Powerball prize thanks to the Power Play!

Thomas Clark, of Clio, matched four white balls and the Powerball – 16-19-34-37-64 PB: 22 – in the Aug. 25 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Power Play, the prize was multiplied to $150,000. He bought his winning ticket at the Conlee Country Store, located at 4514 West Vienna Road in Clio. Clio is about 15 miles northwest of Flint.

“I play Powerball and Mega Millions whenever the jackpot starts getting up there,” said Clark. “I scanned my ticket at the store and got a message to file a claim at the Lottery office. I forgot I added Power Play to my ticket, so I thought I’d only won $50,000. It was quite the surprise when I scanned the ticket on the app and $150,000 came up on the screen!”

Clark, 54, visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to complete some home improvements, pay bills, and then save the remainder.
